My apologies to legitimate readers who enjoy full feeds. I discovered a spam blog translating my posts into German and reposting them. I'm changing my feed setting to a partial feed in an attempt to thwart that. Thanks for understanding.
If you read blogs in a feedreader, like bloglines or google reader, the feed is the text that goes to your account. I have used a full feed so people would get the entire post in their reader. I switched to a partial feed that will only send the first 200 or so words to the reader. Then you have to click through to read the remainder.
It was listed as a blog that links to me on Technorati. I looked at it out of curiosity. Why would a German blog be linking to Central Illinois Life and realized it was my posts. I had 2 semesters of German in college but even without any language skills I think it would have been pretty clear.
I unabashedly love life here and am going to share what I've learned after 13 years getting educated, living, working, and playing in Decatur, Bloomington Normal, Champaign Urbana, Springfield and the small towns in between.

How bizarre. How did you even find out about it?
