I am so excited at the traffic here at Central Illinois Life. But also baffled that over a hundred people come thru every day and no one has a favorite Italian restaurant in Central Illinois to brag on. Talk to me, folks!
I'll see you tomorrow with a calendar of October activities, including the last of the fall festivals, haunted houses, trains and tours.

Since you asked...
In Springfield, there are several Italian eateries from which to choose, but I prefer Gallina's for good, old-fashioned Sicilian family-style grindage and August for fancy, Tuscan-style fusion.
In Champaign, The Great Impasta, downtown. Great dining before a movie next door at Boardman's Art Theater.
Our house was chaos before too. Now, it is still pretty messy (especially my desk that I don't even want to think about) but at least some of the toys are controlled. The kids knwo where everything goes and that makes it easier for them to pick up.
Bloomington, Beningos.
It's just great food!
I have to admit, I've never been to Central Illinois. My favorite Italian restaurant is in New York. It's just kind of fascinating to follow your blog anyway. And a belated thanks for stopping by mine.
I loved Gallina's, too, especially when I worked in Riverton! Also, I don't know if it's still open, but Tuscany in Decatur wasn't too bad. Their Vodka Penne was great.
Galina's in Riverton by far the best, followed closely in second place the same family owned Galina's in Springfield. If you want true yummy Italian food....I'd recommend these places!
